Subject: -O- Star Fighter Install Problems

Hello all,
I`ve read the mail about Star Fighter installation, and to find the
problem
I need to make sure of a few things.
To download this properly you need LHA (by Stephen Boberg)and to do the
following.
1) Download all the disks into the same directory <mydir> on your
HDD. 2) Copy your LHA utility into the same directory
<mydir>. 3) Rename all .ZIP files to .LHA
4) Unpack the SF_INST.LHA program into that same directory. Use
LHA-GUI or LHA like this...(ie <mydir>/lha e <mydir>sf_inst
<mydir>/ )
5) Click on the file README.TXT to complete the installation.
6) The flight manual can be found in the new installation directory in
the STAR_FIGHTER_RADIO drawer.
7) Delete all the .LHA`s once you have installed STAR FIGHTER.
The installer uses SYS: when refering to the boot drive.
The computer must be reset when the game is installed.
The Geosync_1996 icon must be clicked on to start the game.
The Geosync_install icon must be clicked on to start the install.
Execute & Iconx must exist in SYS:C/
Please describe any problems like this..
"I clicked on Geosync_Install & the program crashed out with an
error.."
or "I installed the game fine, reset the computer, double-clicked on
Geosync_1996 and when the first screen appear it crashed.."
...so that I can detect where the fault is.
The only time the software refers to HD0: is when the game is finished
and
my script tries to reassign the system back to the way it was. I will
fix
this in the future (Any know how to do this?) but the INSTALLER & the
GAME
should work fine on any system, as long as you obeyed the instructions
above.
The README.TXT file unarchived from SF_INST.LHA (when renamed) explains
the
INSTALL process.
Please check and get back to me. Has anyone actually got the game to
run?
Im very concerned with this matter. Please respond; those who have had
